University of Oulu

Currently, my research group “Quasiworld Network of Northern Finland” has an opportunity to fund a mathematical researcher for 6 months (with the possibility of extension depending on funding). Our research is at the interface of Analysis on Metric Spaces and Geometry, with an emphasis on quasiconformal maps, uniformization and Sobolev space techniques.

The position is intended for an early career mathematician who has completed a PhD and is capable and interested to contribute to the work of the group. Interested people may contact me with a CV and a list of publications. The applicants are advised that the funding will be through a foundation, and payed directly from the foundation. This affects benefits at the university and resources.

We especially invite mathematicians from Ukraine at any level to apply. The position can be used to fund for 6 moths the stay of a mathematician (or a graduate student) in University of Oulu. Your work should be relevant to the Mathematics unit at Oulu, and be in the field of mathematics. However, beyond this, we aim to be extremely flexible with the position.
