The Simpson Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) is seeking a motivated PhD student or Postdoctoral Fellow from Ukraine to join our team. We are a continuously funded research group investigating heart failure, cardiorespiratory syndrome, Group 2 pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac hemodynamics using small animal surgical models. Our lab is fully equipped for invasive hemodynamics, telemetry, histology, molecular biology, and echocardiography.

For a PhD candidate: Full funding is available. The position is suited to someone with a background in physiology, biomedical science, or a related discipline.

For a Postdoctoral Fellow: Salary support is secure for 1yr with renewal for multiple years. Candidates with experience in rodent surgical models, cardiac physiology, or respiratory physiology are encouraged to apply.

Guelph is a welcoming mid-sized city 1 hour west of Toronto with a strong Ukrainian community. We are happy to assist with immigration paperwork, relocation, and onboarding. Open work permits under CUAET are accepted.
