To continue our work, we need: Digital camera 5.0 for microscope: for high-quality and detailed microscopy of soil microorganisms and the study of plant tissues, in particular for saving and processing images and measuring the size of objects;
Orbital shaker: for mixing of soil samples for further determination of agrochemical soil parameters; for homogenization of suspensions of microorganisms; for preparing mixtures for coating and encrusting seeds.
Laboratory electronic scales -0,3-0,005: for obtaining accurate measurements, which is very important in the process of preparing nutrient solvents for the cultivation of microorganisms; for preparing chemical solutions for analyzing soil and plant samples.
Dry-air thermostat: for the cultivation of microorganisms, which is an integral process in the selection of agronomically valuable bacteria and micromycetes; this device is also necessary for us to conduct research on determining the phytotoxicity and cytotoxicity of the active substances of agrochemicals (fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, etc.); to determine the influence of synthetic and natural growth stimulants on parameters of seed germination of agricultural crops.
Magnetic stirrer with heating: for preparing solutions for chemical analyses; for the preparation of soil samples that require long-term continuous mixing for further determination of the enzymatic activity of the soil.
We will be really grateful for your help!
The Department of Agrarian Technologies and Forestry began its history in 1995. It is part of the Institute of Business, Nature Management, and Tourism, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. The Department provides teaching of professional disciplines of higher education training in specialties "Agronomy", "Forestry", bachelor and master degrees. The main scientific topics: 1) Study of intensive technologies of cultivation of agricultural crops in the conditions of Polissia; 2) Ways to increase the productivity of natural origin Scots pine stands on fallow lands; 3) Study of the influence of by-products of potato processing on agrochemical parameters of the soil and the productivity of agricultural crops. The Department cooperates with agricultural enterprises of Chernihiv region. Lecturers conduct “field classes”, and students communicate with agronomіsts and specialists, moreover, graduate students are often employed by these agricultural companies. The members of the Department are active participants in international conferences, and training and take part in volunteer events in Chernihiv region.
In March, Chernihiv Polytechnic was at the epicenter of enemy shelling and bombing. The amount of damage is evaluated at 140 million hryvnias. The main building, auditoriums, dormitory, and sports facilities were damaged. Windows were broken in the building of department, which led to internal damage. The lack of material and technical support makes it impossible to conduct the planned research. Therefore, we are asking for material support from the international scientific community. This help is of great need for us in a such difficult period.
