This is an ERC-funded position for the project "CholAminCo - Synergy and antagonism of cholinergic and dopaminergic systems in associative learning" run by Balazs Hangya. We are looking for highly motivated people who are interested in joining our team at the Institute of Experimental Medicine (aka KOKI) in Budapest, Hungary. Our overarching goal is to understand the neural mechanisms of cognitive functions, focusing on learning, attention and decision making. We investigate the contribution of subcortical networks to better understand normal cognition as well as the pathomechanisms of neurodegenerative dementias, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
