Under the arrangement announced by the National Science Centre offering assistance to researchers fleeing Russian invasion of Ukraine, principal investigator dr hab. Michał Skiba, prof. UJ offers positions in their team to Ukrainian researchers.
Title: 1 Interaction of cesium with dioctahedral high-charge swelling clays; 2) Mechanisms of glauconite weathering in soils of temperate climate.
Research of the mechanisms of Fe and K glauconite-nontronite aluminosilicate weathering and the interaction of layered silicates and aluminosilicates with Cs, including 137-Cs, a study of selectivity of Cs sorption in high-charge swelling clays (smectite and vermiculite).
Eligible for the employment are researchers who hold at least a PhD degree (known as the Candidate of Sciences under the Ukrainian system) and who worked at Ukrainian universities and in other research centres before the war.
Their work and research interests must bear relevance for the thematic scope of the projects.
