Today, the university houses a large number of refugees who moved to the city of Poltava during the war. There are 87,000 internally displaced people living in the Poltava region. As of August 2022, 342 people from Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk and Sumy regions are living in the university. Also, on the basis of the Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, the relocated MUNICIPAL INSTITUTION "DONETSK REGIONAL SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE OF SPORTS PROFILE is located along with students and scientific and pedagogical workers.
Today, the university has a number of needs that arose during the war, namely the expansion of cooperation with foreign universities and scientific institutions. Open to cooperation on the creation of new projects aimed at psychological support of scientists, immigrants, projects that contribute to the development of the university's potential, expansion of academic mobility opportunities that will help scientists and students stay in a safe space, projects of historical and ecological direction, as well as projects and cooperation in all directions of the university's work. Together with foreign universities, we are ready to cooperate in online and offline formats. There is also a need for scientific internships and advanced training for teachers who suffered emotional disorders during the war and want to improve their professional skills. Open to cooperation and ready to jointly support scientists.
Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University (PNPU) is one of the oldest universities in Ukraine. The university consists of 7 faculties: PEDAGOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY, SCIENCE , HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY, TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN, PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, PHILOLOGY AND JOURNALISM faculties.
