In order to cover the damage to the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Nanotechnologies caused due to shelling by Russian invaders at the end of this February, the School of Physics and Technology needs a set of lab equipment, which would replace the damaged units and make it possible to resume research activities in the following areas: “Simulation of high-energy charged particle beam motion in straight and bent crystals”, “Nuclear burning wave phenomena” (the findings could be used in the next generation of the safe fast nuclear reactors, i.e. travelling wave reactors) and “Numerical solutions of Einstein equations and dynamic equations of fields in curved backgrounds”.

The aim of the project is to disseminate the best practices to promote the creation of social enterprises in military economies by promoting the socialization of persons with disabilities and traumatized persons (not yet registered disability in many victims, how to prescribe them); temporarily displaced persons from the occupied cities and who remained in Ukraine; persons who did not leave the settlements where hostilities are active during the martial law in Ukraine and were discharged from the Ukrainian army, receiving psychological rehabilitation and making recommendations to restore motivation for socially oriented entrepreneurship in a military economy.
The task of the project is to form public opinion among young people, including those with disabilities, and public organizations, representatives of the real sector of the economy on the need to implement the principles of inclusive life in martial law and solve the problems of victims and temporarily displaced persons. The funds will be partly directed to the salaries of scientists (CVs will be provided on requirement), which have been significantly reduced during martial law. Furthermore, funds will be spent for purchasing computer equipment necessary for the conduct and completion of the scientific research. Since the Institute's Collection of Beneficial Soil Microorganisms contains strains of bacteria and fungi that require special storage conditions, it is planned to purchase refrigeration equipment (a refrigerator and a laboratory freezer) and an electricity generator as a priority. In case of power outages, this equipment will allow not to lose about 600 strains of agronomically valuable microorganisms, which have been obtained for the last 50 years of the Institute's activity. We also plan to purchase nutrient agar for microbiology, which is needed to produce digest media for the cultivation of microorganisms for the collection. Due to the decrease in funding during the war, the Institute is lacking funds to pay for public services, which makes it impossible to maintain proper performance of the institution and conduct scientific research.

We are ready to offer above 20 types of biological products containing stem cells and their derivatives. Their high efficiency has been theoretically, experimentally substantiated and practically proved for longer than 10 years. These drugs can be used to treat wounds, burns, septic conditions, hemorrhagic shock, and other critical states as well as during convalescence. For manufacturing of them liquid nitrogen is needed, that in a wartime is problem. To solve it we need the purchasing of a liquid nitrogen generator StirLIN-1 Economy Liquid Nitrogen Production Systems (e.g., www.stirlingcryogenics.eu/en/products/liquid-nitrogen-production-systems).
To use these drugs in a field, or to establish their stocks in hospitals, we have designed their lyophilized forms, for the production of those there is a demand in a freeze-drying FreeZone 4.5 Liter -50C Benchtop Freeze Dryer with Vacuum pump and drying accessory (Labcomco Corp., USA), FreeZone 4.5 Liter -50C Benchtop Freeze Dryer - Labconco. Constant bombing and emergency power outages caused leaking and failures in some refrigerators and freezers. Clearly the reagents stored therein were spoiled. On the same reasons several high precision equipment such as confocal and electron microscopes, spectrophotometers, etc. were broken. So the IPC&C need funds to revive the damaged equipment, to purchase the reagents. Therefore we would be very happy and grateful to get as a charity the used devices.

In addition, we need to resume work on the study of DNA nucleotide sequences of fish viruses, which we have isolated over the past six months. For this purpose, we are ready to isolate DNA fragments and send them abroad for sequencing. All materials and reagents will be used during the implementation of a national project aimed at monitoring, studying fish viruses and analyzing the epizootic situation in fish farms, which is important for food security of Ukraine. After the invasion of our country, our educational institutions suffered greatly. We did not have the opportunity to evacuate the equipment to another place. Now our department and other departments of the university need equipment to be able to restore the educational process. And this is for our international department: 3 computers, 2 laptops, 2 printers, a projector, a video camera for conferences. All this will be used in the department for everyday work. Including with students and on projects.
Now also many departments have similar requests and even more complex ones. Since we have a whole automobile department, where the equipment is much more complex and specific. We need to discuss this with the department.
How is transportation possible? at this stage we can only discuss these possibilities. and perhaps and hopefully soon we can accept by mail (eg DHL).

As an automobile and high way university, we are focused on research in these two areas, moreover, they have suffered greatly now during the war. We also have a developed economic department. Since the beginning of the war, the scientists of our university faced a serious problem of executing research projects, especially those that involved academic mobility to conduct experimental research using analytical equipment in partner countries. The mobility of scientists from Ukraine is significantly limited. That is why there is a high need to purchase analytical equipment.
A significant number of chemical scientists of our university need the following equipment for the sustainable implementation of the research in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals:
Agilent 7250 GC/Q-TOF gas chromatograph with mass spectroscopy detector, 1 unit, timeline approximately 1 year, supplier in Ukraine – LLC "ALSI-CHROM".
It will be used for analytical support of the research projects on the development of biomass processing technologies and the synthesis of biologically active polymers for medical purposes.

Today, the university houses a large number of refugees who moved to the city of Poltava during the war. There are 87,000 internally displaced people living in the Poltava region. As of August 2022, 342 people from Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk and Sumy regions are living in the university. Also, on the basis of the Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, the relocated MUNICIPAL INSTITUTION "DONETSK REGIONAL SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE OF SPORTS PROFILE is located along with students and scientific and pedagogical workers.
Today, the university has a number of needs that arose during the war, namely the expansion of cooperation with foreign universities and scientific institutions. Open to cooperation on the creation of new projects aimed at psychological support of scientists, immigrants, projects that contribute to the development of the university's potential, expansion of academic mobility opportunities that will help scientists and students stay in a safe space, projects of historical and ecological direction, as well as projects and cooperation in all directions of the university's work. Together with foreign universities, we are ready to cooperate in online and offline formats. There is also a need for scientific internships and advanced training for teachers who suffered emotional disorders during the war and want to improve their professional skills. To resume scientific research, we need:

- portable equipment for electrochemical etching and deposition (electrochemical cell, potentiostat, current source, working electrodes, and reference electrodes);
- money for research and testing of materials in laboratories of collective use of equipment;
- Office equipment (computer, laptop, tablet).
It is desirable to receive materials and equipment before the new year. This would allow researchers to resume research and conduct scientific experiments in the shortest possible time. Currently, the university is implementing two projects, for the implementation of which it is necessary to restore the material base in the specified minimum amount. We will find an opportunity to deliver the proposed equipment within Ukraine.

We are looking for partners interested in conducting socio-psychological research in Ukraine, in particular regarding the transformation of the territorial, ethno-national, European identity of Ukrainians in the conditions of decentralization and war.

We are also interested in creating a Center for the Peace Study and Security Policy on the basis of the Institute. We have a lot of both research and practical work on issues of war and peace, adaptation of the population to the conditions and consequences of the military conflict since 2014. We also have successful experience of cooperation with colleagues from Germany and Norway in this direction, but we would like to create a Center for Peace Studies precisely on the basis of our Institute.
