The teachers of the department, in addition to teaching work, conduct research work. In view of its specificity, the department conducts several areas of research that are closely related to improving the efficiency of accounting and control of energy consumption in various areas of human life, the reliability and efficiency of electrical equipment, the influence of electromagnetic fields on biological objects and technologies of energy technological processing with hybrid with an energy supply system for the processing of poultry by-products into fuel, biological feed and fertilizers
In 2020, the department received a Grant from Tetra Tech ES, Inc. (USA) as part of the USAID Energy Security Project (ESP) program to create an educational and scientific testing laboratory.
Currently, research by teachers is suspended due to the war and the suspension of funding of scientific projects by both the state and private enterprises. At the same time, scientists of the department want to resume their scientific research in cooperation with scientific institutions engaged in similar scientific research or to receive an appropriate grant for the continuation of research
The department has agreements on scientific and technical cooperation with various scientific research institutes and electrotechnical enterprises.
Research results are reported at various international conferences and published in various collections of scientific works.
About the Institution
Department of Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrotechnology operation was established and started its educational activities with faculty Electrification of Agriculture Kiev Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture in 1931.
The department trains bachelors and masters in specialty 141 "Energy, electrical engineering and electromechanics". The educational process is provided by 19 scientific and pedagogical workers, including 3 professors (3 doctors of technical sciences), 14 associate professors (14 PhD), 1 teacher and 1 assistant.
